Recently several members of our team had the opportunity to come together in Niagara Falls, Ontario, bringing together colleagues from both the United States and Canada into one place for several days of learning, collaboration, and connection. Given the large territories that we cover and the distance between, it’s rare to have so many of us together in the same room, and rarer still to have an opportunity to share training and team building.
Each of our days was filled with sessions led by trainers from both sides of the border, and our evenings with exploring the Niagara region, including historic Niagara-on-the-Lake, the region’s local wineries, and of course, Niagara Falls itself.
Given the area’s historic connection to the War of 1812, it proved to be perfect, if not somewhat ironic, place for our members from across the border to meet and enjoy a few days together.
The combination of formal training and informal gatherings gave us several great days as a unit, letting us build connections in addition to building new skills, while reminding us that sharing a few laughs and learning new things is the best way of doing business.
Overall, our time together was a resounding success. As Clayton Industries continues towards it’s 95th Anniversary, we’re reminded once again of the importance of building and strengthening relationships, no matter where we may be based.
