Clayton Industries, a leading international company engaged in the design, manufacture, sales & service of industrial & marine steam generating equipment and heat recovery systems has an opening for THERMAL SALES ENGINEER in New England. CT, MA, ME, NH, NY, RI, & VT.

Summary: Sells and promotes industrial boilers and associated equipment and services by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Prospects for potential customers within assigned territory. Calls on corporate managers, engineers, architects, or other professional and technical personnel to convince prospective clients of the desirability and practicability of products and services offered.  Able to create and perform effective technical presentations for Company products.  Able to review and explain mechanical and electrical drawings.  Can prepare technical proposals including detailed quotations of Company products and services.  Have good interpersonal skills and good at customer relationship management.

Supervisory Responsibilities:  This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) from a four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience with heavy equipment sales background.

Language Skills:  Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports and business correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.

Mathematical Skills:  Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.  Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability:  Ability to define problems collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Contact Management systems, Internet software, PowerPoint, Spreadsheet software, and Word Processing software.
