CT, MA, ME, NH, NY, RI, & VT. Summary: Sells and promotes industrial boilers and associated equipment and services by performing the following duties. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Prospects for potential customers within assigned territory. Calls on corporate managers, engineers, architects, or other professional and technical personnel to convince prospective clients of the desirability and practicability of products and services offered.  Able to create and perform effective technical presentations for Company products.  Able to review and explain mechanical and electrical drawings.  Can prepare technical proposals including detailed quotations of Company products and services.  Have good interpersonal skills and good at customer relationship management. FIELD SERVICE TECHNICIAN 

SUMMARY Maintains and repairs stationary steam boilers and boiler house auxiliaries by performing the following duties. Diagnose the cause of equipment malfunction or failure. Disassembles repairs and reassembles components and units as required. Adjusts and calibrates equipment to operating specifications. Assembles and installs new units as required. Sells Assured Preventive Maintenance Programs, service & repair parts, compounds, and chemicals. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Receives working instructions, work orders, blueprints, or drawings from a supervisor. Review job requirements and verify that the required tools, equipment, parts, materials, and manuals are part of the service vehicle inventory. Diagnoses the cause of equipment malfunction or failure by interviewing customers, using appropriate monitoring and test equipment. Disassembles, repairs, and reassembles units as required. Uncrates and assembles new units according to specifications. Trains customer-operating personnel. Cleans or directs other workers to clean boilers and auxiliary equipment. Inspects and repairs boiler fittings such as safety valves, regulators, automatic control mechanisms, water columns, and auxiliary machines such as pumps, draft fans, stokers, and burners. Replace damaged boiler tubes and plates. Repairs or replaces high-pressure piping. Patches boiler insulation and paints the surface of the equipment. Performs water pressure test by pumping water into the system to determine the location of leaks. QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Summary: Plans and conducts activities concerned with the quality assurance of industrial processes, materials, and products by performing the following duties. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Beyond those listed below, other duties may be assigned by management at their discretion.
  • Interprets engineering drawings/sketches/illustrations, schematic diagrams, build instructions, ASME standards for welding & welder qualifications, and confers with QA management and/or engineering to determine quality standards applicable.
  • Plans and conducts the analysis, inspection, test, and/or integration to assure the quality of the assigned product or component.
  • Performs quality engineering reviews of design documentation for compliance with stated requirements, including vendor quality manuals and company quality records.
  • Applies statistical process control (SPC) methods for analyzing data to evaluate the current process and process changes.
  • Reviews all purchased products or components and provide input to the decision of whether to accept the product and future purchases from the vendor.
  • Prepares Non-Conforming Inspection Reports (NCRs) as necessary.
  • Documents data obtained during all quality assurance activities, consistent with company policies and procedures.
  • Develops new approaches to solve problems identified during quality assurance activities.
  • Communicates significant issues or developments identified during quality assurance activities and provides recommended process improvements to management.
  • Prepares reports to communicate involvement and results of quality assurance activities.
  • Prepares and presents technical and program information to team members and management.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of government and industry quality assurance codes and standards.
  • Works with the ASME/National Board, Hartford, and other third-party inspectors.
