Clayton Fluid Heaters produce steam using an equipment configuration that allows operation without licensed boiler operators in many areas in which such attendance is otherwise required. This includes the states of Ohio and Tennessee, as well as, the cities of Detroit, MI and Kenosha, WI. Fluid Heaters are available in sizes from 100 to 750 Boiler Horsepower (BHP) none of which, by law, require attendance by boiler operators.

Since Fluid Heaters are available up to 750 BHP, it is not necessary to install multiple ?Ohio Specials? in order to run without operators ? A single 600 BHP can be used instead of up to three ?Ohio Specials?. Multiple units have been installed to provide up to 120,000 lbs. of steam per hour.

In addition to the labor savings associated with Fluid Heaters, they have the same advantages inherent in Clayton Steam Generators.
